About Barrowload

Barrowload makes free calculators for garden and landscaping projects. The aim is simple: tell you exactly what to order, in the units and bag sizes sold where you live, so you don't overbuy or make a second trip.

Who runs it

Barrowload is built by Saad. I built it after seeing how confusing it is to work out garden material quantities across different countries' units and bag sizes. Calculator defaults are checked against real supplier listings and corrected when they differ.

How the calculators are checked

Every calculator is tested against worked examples before it is published, and each page shows the formula so you can check the maths yourself. Weights use typical densities, which vary between products. Found an error? Tell us and we'll fix it.
